Angelo is a fourteen year old boy who is creative, talented and has goals in life. His illness hasn't stopped him from reaching these goals. Angelo knew he wanted to learn how to develop his own game called Monster Town, including creating all the memorabilia that goes with it. Angelo's wish was to meet Donny Deutsch, who could mentor him to grow his art and game idea into a real product.
Angelo's wish came true as he and his family traveled to New York City to meet Donny Deutsch. This was not your average meet-and-greet! Mr. Deutsch welcomed Angelo and his family into his office and into his home. At the office a meeting was set up aiwth a couple of executives and Angelo was able to roll out his presentation. Angelo had no idea what to expect. Donny Deutsch was very excited with what Angelo presented and gave him great feedback. Later, Mr. Deutsch arranged a video call with the CEO of Activision to discuss the ideas Angelo presented. Angelo realized he had made to very important, powerful friends that day thank you to Make-A-Wish. This truly was an amazing journey for a young boy who knows what he wants and for people to listen to the ideas he has, especially Donny the former host of the CNBC talk show The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch
Mr. Deutsch then invited Angelo and his family to his home to meet his father and see his art collection. Mr. Deutsch, Sr. had a very large advertising company and was very taken with Angelo. Returning home, Angelo's wish continued as the CEO of Activision sent a gift box containing an iPad mini, Guitar Hero and the Tony Hawk game for Xbox so Angelo would continue to be inspired.
Angelo now refers to New York City as the "City of Blessings" because of his experience. He wants to grow his idea into a money making venture and use that money to help other kids with illnesses.
