Three-year-old Arielle has a bright, contagious smile and absolutely loves all things Disney. When brainstorming wish ideas with her family and local wish granters Lou Forges and Kyla Lee, she knew she wanted her wish to have a touch of Disney magic, but did not know if she wanted a dream trip to the Orlando resort, or an adventure on the high seas.
Ultimately, the latter wish prevailed as Arielle was lured by the possibility of getting to hang out with Mickey and the gang aboard the beautiful Disney Dream ship. Arielle found out that her wish really was going to come true at a party hosted by her family and wish granters at a local Tijuana Flats. Surrounded by well-wishers and presented with mementoes to send her off in style, she could not wait for embarkation day to arrive.
Arielle and her family began their cruise on July 15, 2015 and set sail for a four-day adventure with stops at Nassau in the Bahamas, and Disney’s very own private island- Castaway Cay. On board, Arielle had no shortage of fun activities to check out, including waterslides, a kids’ club, dance parties, and meet and greets with Disney characters. At each port stop, she and her family could pick out their own onshore excursions, and craft their perfect cruise.
Arielle and her family made many happy memories together on their cruise, and those, along with pictures and other souvenirs will remind them of their cruise whenever they need a smile or a happy memory. Far from her everyday reality of fighting leukemia, Arielle could simply be a curious, fun-loving kid and not have to worry about hospitals or doctors at all.
