Jewelers for Children (JFC) began its relationship with Make-A-Wish in 1999, continuing the steadfast support for nearly 15 years. JFC has raised over $8 million for Make-A-Wish, helping grant over 1,300 wishes in the U.S. since its inception. This nationwide success is due to the continuing generosity of jewelery trade organizations, jewelery and watch manufacturing companies, jewelry retail stores , individual jewelery professionals and jewelery consumers.
JFC sponsored wish child Skylar's wish to go to Hawaii, which took place in February. Skylar is 13 years old and suffers from chronic lung disease. Skylar and her mother, along with Make-A-Wish volunteer wish granters went to Kay Jewelers and had an amazing visit. Skylar was given a budget to spend at the store and took home The visit and took home some beautiful jewelery! She was treated like a real princess and the day is one she won't soon forget!
